There's been much discussion since the announcement of DC Comics' return to the world of Rorschach, Nite Owl and the rest of the gang with "Before Watchmen"--some good, some bad. Some say the rich world developed by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons is prime for revisiting and there are plenty of great stories to tell, so why not? Some say the iconic title is untouchable and its legendary creator, Moore was duped by dirty business practices. And some say, let's wait and see if it's any good before we judge it. Well the wait's over. The first mini-series donning the "Before Watchmen" title, "Minutemen #1", written and drawn by the supremely talented Darwyn Cooke, hits shelves Wednesday, June 6!
MTV Geek was given unfettered access to the writers, artists, editors and executives of "Before Watchmen" and we were able to sit down with the likes of Dan DiDio, Jim Lee, Amanda Conner, Brian Azzarello, J. Michael Straczynski, Len Wein and others to discuss the series from its initial planning, to the creative process to the controversy surrounding it all.
The first video is available now, and be sure to check back each and every week for more as we take you through the dark and gritty streets of "Before Watchmen"
